scheduled through Washington County Solid Waste as a service from the County, free of charge to the cities.  Dumpsters will be dropped north of the Wanlass Park, in the vacant lot south of the city office building.  Please put trash inside the dumpsters.  Don't discard batteries, tires, or oil. To discard these items, or for other trash questions, please contact the Solid Waste department at 673-2813.

City staff is often asked how to get rid of large items.  The Solid Waste Department will pick up large items on regularly scheduled trash pick up days, if residents call the number above at least 24 hours ahead and request pickup.  Heavy items should be placed curbside for pick up.

As the warmer weather comes, weeds become an issue, especially if there is heavy precipitation over the winter months. Please make an extra effort to clear weeds from around yards and vacant lots. Thank you for taking pride in the city!
